Honda Generator Year By Serial Number Lookup

I have been receiving requests from members about how to date an older Kohler generator/power plant.
Most of what little information that I do have is for the Waukesha FC series engines, but one page was found on dating the manufacture and another has an explanation on the Kohler model codes.
Kohler used several different code systems and I only have a few.
The oldest system that I know anything about is for the models that have only letter code and may not be of interest to most of you. The model A was discontinued in 1921 and the model L was discontinued in 1948.
Between 1923 and 1935 a similar coding system was also used and it would appear to me that some model numbers may have been the same as the output capacity of the generating plant. I/E model #'s 1.5KW, 5KW, 10KW.
Anyone in need of information on the above code dates may contact me by Email and I will try and get closer for you.
The main part of my list that may be of most interest includes the models manufactured between 1936 and 1975 when my list was printed. I have no information for anything made after 1975.
The list gives only the LAST SERIAL number for any given year, but an educated guess will get you within a few months of the shipping birthdate, and is as below.
