It seems I may have found a suitable fix to allow flash videos (as poorly as adobe flash is coded for Linux and OS X platforms) to finally play on my old, but very much alive 12' PowerBook G4. I'm not talking HD videos in DVD glass pond-like quality, but I'm talking 1fps to an estimated 10-15fps with mp3 quality audio that doesn't stutter.
Hi there,
Download this...
http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/installers/archive/fp10.1.102.64_and_9.0.289.0archive.zip
Once downloaded if it doesn't unzip automatically then double click on that file.
Look for the fp 10.1.102.64_and_9.0.289.0archive folder, open it, look for the Flash Player 10.1.102.64 folder & open and look for 10 1r10264 folder & open it, double click on the flashplayer10 1r102_64_ubmac.dmg file, choose the Install Adobe Flash Player file to install... they don't make it easy! 😟

I was looking at a web site today and having an issue with the logging out/change profile update for the site. Site said I needed to have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player. I took a quick look at the Adobe site, uninstalled the old version of FP, then tried to install an updated version. Then the problems began...can't make any sense of the Abobe site...about all I have been able to figure out is that FP 10 doesn't work on a Power PC. Needless to say, I am a bit frustrated about all this. The web site (HornbyEagles.com) doesn't work; YouTube doesn't work. A.r.g.h.h.h! Anyone have any suggestion (other than a new computer)...perhaps an alternative to FP??? If I need FP 9, which version? Thanks in advance...I'll try almost anything.
